It's been ridiculously hot here in the Mid-Atlantic, with heat indexes reaching 120! So what do you wear when you have to brave the extreme elements for work or play? I think these few ensembles will keep you at least looking cool.

Erica & Marc couldn't have asked for a more gorgeous day at the Old Mill for their Summer Wedding. With incredible event design by Beautiful Blooms in wildflower purples & dreamy whites, this rustic wedding was all laid back style and country charm.
Erica's friend made the Ketubah for them as a wedding present, and it worked really well into the laid back rustic feel of the wedding.
All the gorgeous rustic country florals are from Beautiful Blooms, and those delicious looking cupcakes? Non-other than Brown Betty Bakery
Marc is a drummer and took to the stage with the INCREDIBLE Hudson Project Band, if you are looking for an amazing band, I can't say enough about how unbelievable they are....

Polka dots aren't just for youngsters, you can have a very grown up affair. The First set, polka dots in a soft rainbow palette is a fun and fresh approach. Next, playful polka dots liven up a classic palette of black and white. Bold blue hues inspire a preppy garden party when paired with this vintage dress.

Love was a major theme in Lauren & Chris' June Wedding at the Old Mill in Rose Valley, PA.
First, I love that Lauren's dress had pockets-and the beautiful jeweled belt. Love.
I loved that Chris could not contain his excitement about marrying his high school sweetheart.
I loved that Lauren's bridesmaids gifts were gorgeous multi-colored strappy sandals. I loved that Lauren's dad started to tear up right before walking her down the aisle, and that Lauren & Chris laughed the entire ceremony. I love all the little details, from the hand-painted oars to the hand-made wooden frames on the tables. And I love that on their wedding day, Lauren & Chris became Mr. and Mrs. Love.

I started with three completely different color-block dresses as the source of inspiration.
The First Dress, from Asos, is super modern and architectural, and would be perfect for an art museum reception, filled with abstract colored glass and bold, sculptural lines.
The next dress, from Mint Jodi Arnold, is contemporary but whimsical, mixing pretty cement greys with darling mustardy lemon yellows, just right for a sweet, simple, laid back Modern Country wedding.
Lastly, a romantic, elegant dress from Anthropologie with an embroidered lace corset and flowing seafoam skirt. Think relaxed upscale glamour, earthy natural bouquets of hydrangea, eucalpytus and mint, and touches of structured lace throughout for a classic affair.

I love this simple, wrap style charmeuse dress from Halston Heritage as a starting point for inspiration. Here are 4 completely different inspirations from one dress, in 4 different colors, and coordinating bouquets/venues from Martha Stewart and Stationery from Milkmaid Press.

To say that Sudeshna & Jesse are incredibly kind, loving and generous would be an understatement. With infectious smiles and even more palpable adoration for one another, I was lucky enough to photograph these two college sweethearts on one of the biggest days of their lives. Without further ado, a few favorites from the Sudeshna & Jesse's Memorial Day Weekend Wedding at Winterthur.
For the first ceremony, Sudeshna wore her Mother's beautiful red Sari,
which was spun using real gold thread.
After a quick change, we traveled to the reflecting pool for the
American Ceremony with some Hawaiian flair, celebrating Jesse's upbringing.
